Physician – Specialist in Functional Medicine and Preventive Medicine
Dr Philippe DA SILVA's path to medicine began in the field, well before medical school: a volunteer firefighter in Versailles from 1995, he worked in parallel as a care assistant, then nursing assistant and nurse in a medicalised care home. From those years spent closest to the act of caring came a lasting conviction — health is first a matter of listening, precise action and commitment — which carried him through to his doctorate in general medicine from the University of Rennes.
A professional fire service physician in the Yvelines, dispatch physician with the SAMU emergency service, on-call emergency doctor, physician for the Le Mans 24 Hours and for the French Squash Federation: Dr DA SILVA has practised wherever human physiology is put to the test. Postgraduate qualifications in sports biology and medicineand in aviation and aerospace medicine, together with training in disaster medicine and diving medicine, completed the picture — from fire to altitude, from the deep to the racetrack. A field commitment he maintains to this day as a volunteer fire service physician.
It is this same rigour — understanding how the body works before it fails — that gradually led him from emergency care towards prevention. Holding a diploma in morphological and anti-ageing medicine from Paris Descartes University and practising anti-ageing medicine in the Paris region for several years, he now practises preventive medicine in Paris, within a centre dedicated to in-depth health assessment. A biohacking and new-technology enthusiast, he applies to himself what he offers his patients.
His approach follows the principles of functional medicine: not merely silencing symptoms, but tracing back to the root causes of imbalances, exploring each person's biological terrain and building personalised, progressive and lasting care.
A native Portuguese speaker, Dr DA SILVA consults in French, Portuguese, English and Spanish — an uncommon range that allows him to support an international patient base.
His ambition: to bring to functional health the rigour acquired in emergency and extreme-environment medicine— enabling everyone to understand how their own body works, to correct what can be corrected and to preserve their health capital over the long term.
